We are pleased to announce that we have confirmed our new agreement with Greene King, giving us exclusivity on the global distribution of Greene King products.

Greene King, who have been brewing for more than 200 years, are part of our premium portfolio of British beverage brands including Thatchers Cider, Robinsons Brewery (Trooper by Iron Maiden), and Carlsberg Marston’s.

We’ve already been working with Greene King for a number of years on a non-exclusive basis, and this latest agreement means we will now be managing the full portfolio worldwide, taking the final three markets in house throughout the course of 2023.

First launched in 1799, Greene King is now the UK’s leading pub company and brewer with c.2,600 pubs, restaurants and hotels and breweries in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, and the Belhaven Brewery in Scotland. Greene King’s industry-leading portfolio includes Greene King IPA, Old Speckled Hen, Abbot Ale, Ice Breaker, Belhaven Best and its newest premium beer additions, Level Head and Flint Eye, brewed for the modern-day drinker.

Sovereign are delighted to announce that we have launched two new divisions to our export business. These will be initially driven by an award winning portfolio of spirits brands, led by exceptional British spirits, in particularly gin and will encompass a full range of award winning brands in each category from around the world.

In addition to our foray in to the spirits world, it gives us great pleasure to proudly announce our first award win in spirits. On the 9th June 2016 we were awarded as winners of the WSTA #Q90 challenge, where our cocktail “Celebration of Britain” was crowned the winner of this prestigious title.

The competition was entered by some of UK and the world’s leading brands and the competition was fierce. This was a WSTA and DEFRA led initiative to showcase the quality of the UK drinks industry.

The Q90 challenge is part of the celebrations to mark 2016 as the Year of Great British Food – a Defra led campaign to celebrate the best of our food and drink and build Britain’s reputation as a great food nation.
