A high proportion of Crystal malt in Old Speckled Hen provides the key toffee/caramel flavour. The yeast used to ferment the beer provides the other key character – estery or banana/pear drop. This estery note provides the fruity and refreshing balance. The hops used add a palate cleansing herbal note and very slight orange citrus. A very malty, full bodied and warming ale.
Perfectly complements tasteful, quality British foods, premium pies, gravies, sausages and weekend BBQ’s. Works perfectly with Sticky Toffee Pudding too!

The only cloudiness we like is in our Haze cider. A thirst-quenching combination of Discovery, Falstaff, Gala and Jonagold apples are crafted into this crisp, sweet cider.
Great for relaxed occasions, the simple pleasure of being with your mates and having the warmth of the sun on your face.
Greene King IPA is characterised by its hoppy taste and aroma that comes from the use of challenger and first gold hops, which are combined with pale and crystal malts. IPA stands for India Pale Ale and the IPA style was created in the days of the British Empire to bring a taste of home to troops stationed in India. Nowadays, Greene King IPA is enjoyed in over 30 countries worldwide.
Greene King IPA is a perfectly-balanced ale, characterised by its fresh, hoppy taste and clean, bitter finish. This hoppy taste and aroma come from two varieties of English hops – Challenger and First Gold – which are combined with pale and crystal malts. A great beer to enjoy with curry, Mexican and other spicy food, or simply on its own.
Icebreaker, a deliciously refreshing, easy drinking, unfiltered pale ale is the first beer crafted by the brewing apprentices, to graduate into the core Greene King beers portfolio. The first cohort of apprentices, under the tutelage of Master Brewer Ross O’Hara, were given the freedom to break boundaries of brewing within Greene King to develop the beer of their choice.
The result is Icebreaker, a 4.5% unfiltered pale ale which is bursting with fruity hop flavour. Brewed with Citra and Simcoe hops, it emanates waves of guava and passion fruit which crash with big citrus flavours for this bold pale ale.
ABV 4.8% | Smooth and golden
Gold showcases the very best of what cider making is all about. Crafted from a blend of our favourite apples, including Dabinett and Harry Masters Jersey, Gold sets the standard. A real ‘cider drinker’s cider’. Great with friends at the pub, the big match on TV or alongside your Friday night curry!

Beautifully dark and mischievously moreish! Dont be put off by its monochrome look, this Stout packs a ‘flavour’ punch. Hobgoblin Stout is a 4.1%, jet black Stout, with hearty aromas of roasted malt and chocolate. Enjoy the earthy bitterness balanced by hints of coffee, cocoa and sweet treacle flavours. A deceptively dark yet smooth and easy drinking Stout.
