Greene King IPA is characterised by its hoppy taste and aroma that comes from the use of challenger and first gold hops, which are combined with pale and crystal malts. IPA stands for India Pale Ale and the IPA style was created in the days of the British Empire to bring a taste of home to troops stationed in India.
Inspired by tall tales of the ghostly ships that haunted the shores of Walberswick, you’ll discover whispers of aromatic elderflower, bold citrus and gooseberry flavours, with hints of warming rye spice. A blend of Citra and US and UK hop varieties provide Ghost Ship’s bold citrus flavours of lemon and lime, aromatic elderflower notes, and that wonderful hoppy finish.

Our copper-coloured bitter is brewed with East Anglian malt and emboldened by the late addition of herbal Fuggles, for an authentic hit of English hops. Southwold Bitter’s distinctive, thirst-quenching, herbal hoppiness provides a genuine English bitter experience. Biscuity malts and light, caramelised toffee notes balance its classic English hop character. They are added late in the brewing process to maintain their wonderful aromas and create a long, lingering, resinous finish on the palate.
